Title: Vice President, Technology and Applications

Location: Remote (Preference for Houston Area, not required) | Periodic Travel to Houston Required
Salary Range: $175,000 - $190,000 Base + Quarterly Performance Bonus
We are seeking a strategic and transformational technology leader to serve as a key member of the executive leadership team and a trusted partner to the CIO. This individual will help lead the organization through growth, application modernization, M&A integration activities, and large-scale technology transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate is an experienced technology executive who can operate as the CIO's right hand, providing leadership across software development, technology delivery, platform modernization, organizational scalability, and enterprise technology strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Executive Leadership & Strategy
-Represent IT in executive discussions across Operations, Product, Sales, Customer Experience, and Finance.
-Translate business objectives into scalable technology solutions that support growth and operational excellence.
-Establish governance, planning processes, and organizational frameworks that enable long-term expansion.
Technology Transformation & M&A Integration
-Lead enterprise technology transformation initiatives focused on modernization, scalability, and platform consolidation.
-Develop and maintain a repeatable technology integration playbook for future acquisitions.
-Lead technology due diligence, integration planning, and post-acquisition execution activities.
-Drive the consolidation of applications, data, and business processes into a unified technology ecosystem.
-Identify opportunities to leverage automation, AI, analytics, and emerging technologies to improve business performance.
Application Development & Technology Delivery
-Lead software engineering, application development, DevOps, quality assurance, and technology delivery functions.
-Oversee both internal and customer-facing applications.
-Drive Agile methodologies, release management, DevOps practices, and application lifecycle management.
-Partner with Product and business stakeholders to align technology investments with business priorities.
-Establish delivery metrics, governance, and accountability frameworks that improve execution and results.
Leadership & Operational Excellence
-Lead and mentor managers, architects, developers, and technology leaders across a blended onshore and offshore organization.
-Drive technology operating rhythms, performance metrics, and reporting processes.
-Ensure systems meet reliability, security, compliance, and performance expectations.
-Support budgeting, resource planning, vendor management, and technology investment decisions.
-Build scalable processes capable of supporting future growth and acquisition activity.
Required Qualifications
-Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
-12+ years of progressive technology leadership experience.
-Proven experience leading enterprise software engineering and application development organizations.
-Demonstrated success delivering complex technology initiatives within high-growth environments.
-Strong Microsoft technology background, including Azure, .NET, Azure DevOps, cloud architecture, enterprise integrations, and data & analytics platforms.
-Experience supporting both internal business applications and external customer-facing platforms.
-Strong M&A integration experience, including technology due diligence, consolidation, and post-acquisition execution.
-Experience developing technology integration strategies and operating models following acquisitions.
-Proven ability to lead and scale blended onshore and offshore technology teams.
-Strong understanding of enterprise transformation and organizational change management.
-Exceptional executive communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
Preferred:
-Experience within healthcare services, insurance, professional services, or other technology-enabled organizations.
-Familiarity with AI, automation, & intelligent workflow technologies
-Experience w/ SaaS platforms
